Make your own pizza! *PLEASE READ*

*I wrote this at 7.57pm on the 19th of April 2016, to post the next day. Never did I realise that I would wake up  the morning and find out that a loved one had died. I decided to post this to show exactly how quickly things can change*

Yesterday night I was feeling a bit creative so I made my own pizzas, base included! I made two, each one with a different topping.

For the dough, I used this recipe. I didn’t however use the recipe for the toppings, I just came up with my own!

For the toppings I used:

  • Prosciutto
  • Tomato passata (similar to tomato paste but more of a liquid)
  • Mozzarella
  • Basil (even though it’s not in the picture!)
  • Homemade Persian feta
  • Sweet potato
  • Pumpkin
  • Walnuts
  • Rosemary
  • Olive oil

Hi Again

I’ve been absent from the blogging world for two months. For two reasons to be honest, I don’t have time anymore. One, I have at least one test a day, I’m bombarded with homework and other responsibilities, and two, I don’t want blogging and writing to become a job, to begin to be something that I HAVE to do.. because that is not what I created this blog for.

I am definitely not quitting, but more taking a hiatus of which the designated time is TBA, (a bit like One Direction!)

For now goodbye, but I will be back, I promise.

Valiant Blogger Award

One of probably my best blogging friends, Ji, nominated me to do the Valiant Blogger Award, so thank you so much. This award was created by Liz C. Also, if you wish to read some of the amazing posts written by other bloggers, this is the link to the Hall of Valor.

These are the rules:

The greatest challenge of my life (so far) in 2o0 words.

The greatest challenge of my life so far has been the death of my Grandpa last April.
I thought I’d experienced hard things, heartbreak after a death, but no, I hadn’t.
It is physically impossible to share how you feel after something like this happens, you can’t explain it in any way possible, the only way to understand is to of felt it yourself, until then it is impossible.
I wouldn’t say have completely gotten through it yet, but I am certainly a lot better than I was in the beginning.
I am getting through it okay, I am killing grief you could say.
I like to look at old photos and read letters, that helps a lot. Because even if Grandpa can’t be with me now, even though Grandpa is now just someone else lost into the depths of not being able to live forever, he can live on.
I will often write too, sometimes I write by hand, other times I just save another draft on my blog but don’t post it.
There are so many challenges in life, and I will get through them one by one, even if it takes me til my last breath.

Don’t do anything that doesn’t make you happy. Don’t do things to please others. Do things for YOU because only then will you be happy, only then will you succeed. Make sure you do that, because otherwise, what’s the point?

Thank you so much again to Ji for nominating me for this amazing award. I nominate Elm, and I think most of you know why.. just read some of her posts, you will see how motivated she is to succeed.

See you on Friday!

Tips For Travelling Overseas

Hey everyone!

I hope you all enjoyed my last post, The Mystery Blogger Award. Today I’m back with a completely different topic, that is travelling overseas.

As a lot of you already know, I have flown from one side of the world to another multiple times since 2015, usually from Milan to Abu Dhabi and then to Australia. I thought I’d share some of the tips I’ve learnt over time!

I remember the first time I flew to Abu Dhabi, I took about ten books in my backpack because I thought I was going to read every second of the fourteen hour flight. Don’t do that, please. On the plane, you’re probably going to be using the in-flight entertainment or watching Netflix on your laptop 90% of the time. If you think you’re going to read during the flight, just  take one book.. you can thank me later!

There’s nothing worse than spilling some tea on yourself and not having any wipes to clean up with, or realising that you’re about to land and your hair’s a mess but you don’t have a hairbrush. Take some of those things with you, only the essentials, maybe your toothbrush and toothpaste and a hairbrush. Or even a sample perfume! Just remember that all of your LAGs (liquids, aerosols and gels) can’t be over 100ml and need to be kept in a ziplock bag with a maximum capacity of 1 litre.

When you’re on an aircraft, thousands of kilometres above the ground, it can get a bit cool. Unfortunately, unless you’re flying business or first class, the blankets that your airline provides won’t be enough to keep you warm. Wear a t-shirt with a cardigan and jumper over it, there’s nothing stopping you taking some of the layers off if you get too hot!

You are likely to become dehydrated during the flight thanks to the aircon on-board. Always get a drink when the flight attendants come around, it’s best to get water (that’s coming from me who likes coke at breakfast on the plane!). Take an empty water bottle too, that way you can fill up whenever needed.

These are just a few travel tips that I use! Let me know your favourite travel tip in the comments below:)

Well hello again:)

After a while, I am back with another award:) Twinkles  and Velvet Essence nominated to do this, so thank you very much! Since two people nominated me, I will do both sets of questions, and six facts about me, but only nominate ten people:) This award was created by Okoto Engima so make sure to check her blog out!

  • Post the award logo-image on your blog
  • List the rules
  • Thank whoever nominated you and provide a link to their blog
  • Mention the creator of the award and provide a link as well
  • Tell your readers three things about yourself
  • You have to nominate ten to twenty people
  • Notify your nominees by commenting on their blog
  • Ask your nominees any five questions of your choice; with one weird or funny question (specify)
  • Share a link to your best post(s)

  • My middle name is Elizabeth named after my great grandma, not the queen;)
  • I am fluent in English and Italian and know basic Spanish
  • I enjoy eating lemons and limes and can do it without scrunching my face up from the acidity!
  • My zodiac sign is Libra
  • I wash my hair every second day
  • I have ten cousins, four girls and six boys

What’s your favourite song? At the moment probably Castle on the Hill by Ed Sheehan or Paris by The Chainsmokers:)

How long have you been blogging? I’ve been blogging since August 7 2015. This is my first post of you wanted to read it;)

What one food do you hate? TUNA. It is disgusting. I hate the taste, the smell.. everything. I had to sit away from my friend at school once because I was about to gag from the smell. It is AWFUL.

Do you have any brothers or sisters? Yep:) I’ve got two brothers, Jeremy and Daniel and two sisters, Lauren and Rhiannon. They are all older than me as you can see from the photo!

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be? London or The Maldives. Both are extremely different but they look so beautiful. London sounds seriously amazing and then The Maldives, well just have a look on google!

What is your most embarrassing moment? So it was probably in year three or four, and me and my class were on a walk in this park near my school. Me being me, I wasn’t paying attention to where I was going, and I basically fell over a metal pole in the ground. Like, how cool am I?

Do you have your own bedroom? Yes thankfully! Up until maybe year one or two I shared with my older sister Lauren but since then I have had my own room!

Which country are you from? Australia:)

If you could have anything in the world, what would be the first thing you would wish for? A short holiday in some nice hot tropical place like Fiji or The Maldives… or an iPhone<3

Annnd finally, describe yourself. I don’t know whether you mean physically or like character traits but I’ll do physically.I have fairly long brown hair apart from the front bits which are a bit blonde thanks to sunlight. I’ve got blue/green eyes. I have really pale skin, and during Summer I may as well be a cheetah from all my freckles;) I am something like 152-153cm tall. I also have massive feet, even though they only look really big with shoes on! You’ll also notice I have cuts all over my hands, paper and sticky tape dispensers haven’t been very friendly to me over the past few days:(

Just a Blank Space

And the next four people who ask to be nominated😂

Which continent would you like to live on?

Do you believe in aliens or any other space creature?

Favourite and least favourite school subject?

Are there any weird food combinations that you like? I really like hot chips (or fries as Americans say) dipped into caramel milkshake, I also like green beans and lemonade.

Do you sleep with or without socks?

Hope you enjoyed the post! See you again on Monday:)

200 Follower Q&A!

Hi everyone!

Last week, I asked you all to leave any questions you had in the comments for my 200 Follower Q&A.. well today you find out the answers! If you didn’t see the post, but still want to ask me a question, feel free to leave it in the comments and I’ll edit it in:)

Questions from Silviya

What’s your favourite season?

I think Spring would have to be my favourite season. I love that it’s not too hot, but not too cold and all the flowers and animals are out and about. In Australia it’s also my birthday season:)

Why do you like blogging?

This is actually a really hard question. There are way too many reasons to write here, but one of my favourites is the blogging community itself!

What do you really want at the moment?

Nice nails, an iPhone 7 and a MacBook.. and an endless supply of books! So random, I know, haha.

What would you like to do if you’re a millionaire?

If I were to be a millionare, I would buy the things that I wanted, buy a nice, but not extravegant house (it needs a pool and trampoline though!) and probably donate some to charity. I’d make sure to leave some in the bank as well:)

Questions from Fruity

Do you like llamas?

Of course I do, who doesn’t like llamas?

Aren’t llamas just precious?

Yesss so precious!

Aren’t llamas so damn handsome?

Image result for llama memes

Obviously, but not as much as me;)

Would you adopt a llama?

Yass! I’d name it unicorn:)

If you had a llama would you give it to me?

Umm no sorry!

Questions from Sav the Lion:

What would be the first thing you do if money wasn’t a thing?

Haha I honestly don’t know. I’d probably start growing some stuff that can then become my food and make sure I had lots of supplies in my house😂

How do you personally cope when something bad happens?

This is a really difficult question. I just try to think positively and focus on other things.

Questions from Girly Blogger

What is the best thing that happened to you?

I’m sure there are so many things but one of the most awesome would be seeing One Direction. They were literally so amazing, and back then they were still a fivesome.

What is one thing that you would go back and change?

I know it sounds so stupid, but I’d go back to when I started biting my nails and never start😂 I sound like such an idiot;)

Questions from Emily

Guilty pleasures?

Cadbury hot chocolate with about five marshmallows. Or Cadbury hot chocolate with six marshmallows whilst watching Harry Potter.

The most rebellious thing you have done?

Loool I’m not really a rebel. I seriously have no idea😂

Any weird things you can do with your body? (e.g I can turn both of my feet in, so a full 90 degrees)

I can flare my nostrils, that’s pretty weird isn’t it? Nothing else I don’t think:)

Questions from Ji

What is so far your favourite experience in blogging?

Probably each milestone. It’s pretty cool seeing your little blog grow and the amount of people reading it getting bigger and bigger!

What is your next goal in your blog and what is your target date?

Hmm let’s say 300 followers. My target would be to reach it by September/October.

Summer or winter?

Summer for sure!

Books or movies?

Books all the way. But there are definitely some movies *hint hint Harry Potter* that are nearly as good as the books!

What is your most used website?

Probably YouTube if that counts, or Pinterest.

Questions from Grace

What is your favorite book? Why?

For a series definitely Harry Potter or The Hunger Games. Both are amazing and written by such talented women. For a single book one of my favourites is Everything Everything by Nicola Yoon. The book is just omg. The ending, at least for me, was a surprise, in some ways good, in other bad.. I definitely reccomend it!!

What job would you want to have when you’re older?

I want to be a veterinarian. I love animals, and will always be around them or looking at pictures of them. I find the job itself really interesting, and although it would be seven years at university, I think I’ll do it!

Questions from Truuty

Do you have a favourite season? If you do, what is it and why?

Spring probably! I love

What are some of the things you love about blogging?

What I Think of Trump’s Muslim Ban

So as most of you have probably heard, Mr Donald Trump A.K.A the 45th US President, has set a ban into place, where there are some countries (all of these countries have a large Muslim community) from which those citizens can not enter into the U.S.

What does this mean? It means that Trump, overnight, has blocked innocent people from entering his country, in fear that they are terrorists. Because it seems that in Trump’s point of view, ALL Muslims are terrorists. Which is incorrect. Because people in I.S.I.S or any other terrorist, are NOT Muslim, and have something wrong with them. All of this seems pretty barbaric, considering 2/3 of Trump’s wives are immigrants.

It means that some Americans may have to leave the country they call home, because of their ethnicity, their religion.. Can you imagine, having to leave -insert your country here- because a person thinks you are inferior, because you’re a ‘terrorist’, because you have BLACK skin. I can’t imagine that in a million years, yet there are people who have to accept this today.

Why is it that because of our religion, the colour of our skin, our origins, our roots, we are judged? Why is there racism? Why is there war? Why do idiots exist? Why can’t we all agree about the same thing? HOW is it possible that after so many years, we are still like this? Why don’t we accept one another and move on? I’m not sure there will be many people who will live to know the answer.

What are your thoughts on this ban? Are you for or against Trump? Why? Also, if you haven’t already, leave a question or two on this post for my 200 Follower Q&A going up next week!

Quick Post

Hey everyone!

Just reminding you all that if you have any questions for my 200 Follower Q&A, be sure to leave them in the comment section of this post, or my 200 Follower post. I will be writing the post on Tuesday and the uploading it on Wednesday:)

Lucia, x.

Hello everyone and welcome to the second post of today!

I just logged on to WordPress to make sure that my scheduled post had gone live, and what do I see? I HAVE REACHED TWO HUNDRED FOLLOWERS!

To be honest I don’t really have much to say apart from, wow. I find it almost strange that so many people from so many different countries found my blog, liked it and then followed!

Since I really don’t have much to say, I should let you know I’ll be doing a Q&A soon, so if you have any questions, be sure to leave them in the comments by let’s say the 7th of February!

Thank you ALL so much again and I will hopefully be back again soon with a new post!

1/17th of the FPOB Collab

Hey everyone and welcome to a very exciting post!

Today I’m sharing with you my part of this collaboration (there’s 17 of us), called Favourite Part of Blogging. It was created by Shania @ Life as Shania. The people involved in the collab are:

Mahriya/Train of Thought

Closet Readers

The Stylish Dreamer

My Crazy Obsession With Books

Brookie/Ellyn Kim

Midnight Ranter/Ayaka

So… my favourite part of blogging.

If I’m honest, there are a lot of ”elements” that create that one part. Basically the elements are  the atoms, lots of atoms placed together make a molecule (or the ”part” in my case), and then lots of different molecules (the parts), create a substance (in my case, blogging).

I love meeting new people, and I love finding out about new blogs. To me, WordPress (and any other blogging platform really!), is like a massive school filled with people that like to write, or rant, or share their drawings. It’s like a ginormous place to socialise. And that’s what I love about it.

People are literally always there for you.. You might remember when I posted about the loss of my Grandpa, the amount of support and comments I got, were probably more than I got from my friends in real life.

When you need it most, the blogging community comes together, and helps you, or guides you, through whatever is going on, and that is just one of the many beautiful things about blogging.

I love blogging, I do. Even though there have been times, where I’ve had no worry whatsoever in not blogging, or writing, I always seem to come back. There must be a reason about why I do come back, but even I don’t know it.. I just know the effect of it:)

If you participated in this collaboration, please link it to me in the comments, I would love to read it!

Thank you so much for reading this, it means a lot.
